 Stone Tower Winery is seeking interns for the 2019 harvest

Located on 306-acre estate in Leesburg, Virginia, Stone Tower Winery is a family-owned vineyard & winery committed to creating world-class, premium wines from estate-grown fruit and trusted growers throughout the state. Our primary focus is on Bordeaux varietals and other vinifera showing well in Virginia.

We are seeking detail-oriented and reliable individuals that have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a good sense of humor. This opportunity is great for someone who is looking to be part of a tight-knit, young winemaking team that wants exposure to all aspects of winemaking using modern, high-tech equipment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning and sanitation

  • Grape processing

  • Pumpovers and punchdowns

  • Additions and inoculations as directed

  • Pomace removal

  • Barrel work such as filling, topping, stirring

  • Rackings

  • Vineyard sampling

  • Other projects as directed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders

  • Walk, stand, bend, kneel for long periods


  • Previous harvest experience desired (or a deep interest in winemaking)

  • Willing to work 10+ hours at least 6 days per week

  • Desire to learn

  • Self-starter

  • Team player

  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license

  • Effective communication skills

  • Solid bops recommendations are highly desired

The position will begin in August and run through November. Exact dates are flexible and subject to change as harvest progresses.
