Orchestra 2100 Duo Recital

Orchestra 2100 makes a home in Leesburg, VA, starting its 2016/17 season with an intimate Duo Recital on Nov. 3, 7pm, by Natasha Korsakova, violin, and Maestro David Michael Wolff, piano. The internationally renowned Korsakova, traveling in from Switzerland, is the Orchestra’s Artist-in-Residence, and Wolff is the Artist Director & Principal Conductor of both Orchestra 2100 and The Carolina Philharmonic.

The event will take place at the Stone Tower Winery, Leesburg, and begins with a wine reception at 7pm before the hour-long performance at 7:45, followed by a brief meet and greet with the artists.

Proceeds will benefit Encore! Kids, an interactive orchestral experience program for children grades K-2. The program, created by Maestro Wolff, has already served thousands of children in North Carolina, and is now launching in Virginia. Visit the Orchestra’s website for more info and to watch a short video about Encore! Kids.

Orchestra 2100 aims to present exceptional music to audiences of all ages, stripped of the pretense and stiffness often associated with classical music and symphony orchestras. Our Mission is to transform the lives of children through interactive orchestral experience programs. The organization was looking for a home base in NOVA from which to serve the local region as well as all of Virginia; the idyllic Leesburg was the obvious choice. If the local community embraces and shares our vision, we hope to in some way add another voice to this vibrant region.
